Terms of service

Last updated: 6 October 2026

These terms apply when you use albums.digital ("the service", "we", "us"). By creating an account or opening a shared album you agree to them.

Your account

You need a valid email address to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

Your content

You keep all rights to the photos, videos and text you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you and for the people you share albums with: for example to make smaller copies for fast viewing, and to show an album to visitors of a share link you created.

Only upload content you have the right to share. Don't upload anything illegal, anything that harms others, or other people's private material without their consent. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Sharing

Anyone with a share link can see that album. You decide what visitors may do and can revoke a link at any time. Comments from visitors are their responsibility; as the album owner you can hide them.

Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. Payments are handled by Stripe. You can cancel at any time under Plan & billing; the plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for. If a payment fails we will let you know, and your account falls back to the free plan's limits until it is resolved. Your existing albums are never deleted because of a plan change.

Availability

We work hard to keep albums.digital running and your files safe, with continuous backups. Still, no online service can promise to be available all the time, so keep your own copies of important originals. You can download every album as a ZIP whenever you like.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time. We may end the service with at least 60 days' notice, during which you can download everything.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or lost data beyond the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies.
